Re: FWD VQ owner... just not a Max
Yeah I say unban him - its is very dodge though - I always thought so from his Maxima.org posts where he'd show 1,000,000 pics of the ECU board but never one of his VQ35 powered Pulsar - even if the engine is out now theres no way you could shoe horn the engine in and not gloat with some pics

Re: FWD VQ owner... just not a Max
People would question Jordan and Sinturions forced induction methods aswell, just because they are uncommon in Aus/NZ, doesnt mean we shouldnt give them a chance
and even if he is a sh*t talker, whats the worst that could happen?
i dont see whats so amazing about putting a VQ35 in to a pulsar anyway, they have heaps in Sentras over in the US, its not like its totally unbelievable, the n14 cant be much smaller than the b16

would someone who has been banned want to come back on a forum where he was once unwelcome anyway?

Re: FWD VQ owner... just not a Max
i guess, but if i said i had a j31 and i was twin turbocharging it and never provided pics etc.. and was extremely elusive, wouldnt you guys get suss and then annoyed...
When someone lies to you they are taking you for a fool.
i'm not sure if this guy is lying or not, i'm not a judge, but if he truly wasnt lying, wouldnt you just show a couple of photos to get everyone off your back? how hard is it to snap a couple and upload... jordan did it, sinturion is doing it... not hard at all...
i dont think its worth banning personally, he wasnt hurting anyone, he was just talking sh*t, and we all do that to some extent, some more than others... if this was a workplace i think mdu would be getting sued for unfair dismissal. haha... i'll probably get banned for my rant now! dammit!

Yeah fair enough Maximus. I personally would like proof because I hate beating round the bush and ^^^ taken for a fool.
If it is true, he has a ripper project and would be a quick car.

thats the thing isnt it, he may have been full of sh*t and could have easily provided pics but he wasnt really hurting anyone, no one was relying on his information etc

So true! Glad we got rid of him; probably was that 'iamhappy46' guy from Pulsar Group of Australia and whatever other alias's he's gone by on other forums... dreamer.
Anyway, just a small update; My new quad supercharged double turbo'd NOS injected 8L V16, jet powered A32 is doing alright. Recently did a quarter mile run and ran a -12.06s 1/4m. It actually put me back in time and that was with the trans in limp home mode!

Re: FWD VQ owner... just not a Max
Just saw this on the big org throttlehappy wrote: 97 onwards do not have an expansion board socket... characterised by the 40 pin connecter on the board furthest from the ECU plug. The R33 Skyline ECU was also in the same situation, with no expansion socket although an R34 ECU with a different ECU supplier is chippable. Engine, cams and new flywheel are due back from machining and balancing early next week. This forum helped in my decision to upgrade the oil pump if I am going to be spinning the engine hard Plenty of pictures to post once the engine is in the workshop and being re-assembled Even upload some videos now my video camera docking station is functional. So sounds like there will be engine pics but will they ever be of engine in car pics

Re: FWD VQ owner... just not a Max
ugh
i dunno
like he said he wouldnt return anyway, our loss i suppose. I understand hes a busy man but ive been hearing these stories for years and no photos. on the flip side why should he have to explain himself to us, or any forum for that matter
oh well whats done is done, i say good luck to him really hope he can prove us all wrong
Just a quick spill about maxima.org. I respect the guys on there for what they do and how much they know, we look pathetic in comparison. But we live in a country with Skylines everywhere and V8 Commos for pocket change. There really is no incentive in having a great Maxima with all these other options available to us. In America the parts are cheaper and there is more of them. They cant expect us to do the same things to our cars when it costs more than the price of the car to supercharge it. Hell even getting a y pipe costs and arm and a leg. What im saying is no sh*t our site is small, who the hell would want to modify a Maxima when the parts are expensive and there are better options out there for less

Re: FWD VQ owner... just not a Max
Wow; I was quoted.
I feel so violated and dirty!
The dirt... it won't come off!
He says he wants to keep some degree of exclusivity (or whatever the word was that he used) as an excuse of why he isn't posting pictures... but if we are meant to take his word for it, when it comes to working on cars and spending a LOT of money to doing such mods; why can't he just post a few pics to prove himself? I doubt anyone is going to go out and spend heaps of money on some dude saying that X, Y, Z is possible and claiming to have done it, if they can't prove it themselves. Its not hard to talk about sensors in various locations of different engines, so long as you have access to the various workshop manuals (which are plenty and throughout the net and not too hard to source).
All this hassle because he won't post pictures... Everyone else is more than happy and proud to show their work and what they have achieved; it just seems a little off that this guy thinks his stuff is that exclusive that everyone in the world is going to steal his intellectual property. If its that great and he wants to keep it so exclusive; why is he helping people to achieve the same thing? Just in words, and not with pictures to assist?
He just seems a little off. I say no loss, no gain. The worse thing to come from this, I think, is that he has hurt the reputation of our website. There is a reason why he has been kicked off so many websites; he lacks credibility. He bad-mouths Jordan, but at least Jordan has proven that he does have a supercharged maxima and isn't just saying so.
/end rant.

Re: FWD VQ owner... just not a Max
I think with the introduction of the internet; law officials can demand IP addresses from forum admins of car forum usernames, than from the IP address track down their ISP; and from their ISP they can get their address and full name.
So they would need "timmyp34 from MDU"
Is Timmy starting to feel the sweat???

oh yeah, in an instance where a law was being broken it would be viable, but not for a petty defamation lawsuit, they would not be privy to such information i don't believe...

As far as internet crime goes, Timmy is the person standing on a corner looking at people 'with intent'. Not actually breaking any laws, and probably never will, but those that are trying to hide something will be feeling uncomfortable.

Re: FWD VQ owner... just not a Max
Epic LOLs I wondered why the number of replies was stacking up, I finally took 15 mins to read all that and the links provided, I ROFL'd What a c*nt-rocket. All show, no go, sort of like my reputation on the Big ORG for being the one who said I was going to start a RWD J30 project, but haven't got around to it yet (for those wondering, yeah one day I'll try it, once I work out how I could connect the steering rack to the new hubs/knuckles, arms, etc, having control is kind of handy). Maybe this guy IS in the process of creating this God-Al-Mighty machine, but just talking his progress faster than his free hand...on wait...one on the keyboard, one on junior...NO spare hands!! As for internet legal matters, it's free man's land unless specific names or 9 year olds are involved, even then, law enforcement can only track a matter to their own border before they rely on co-operation from overseas law enforcement to give them enough evidence to kick some ass.

Judging by the photo's in his album I declare my opinion: he IS a fruit loop, and/or a pevert.

Re: FWD VQ owner... just not a Max
yeah I've been following that too.. He was meant to send an ECU to the US for a member to test 'supposedly' customs return 3-4 times .. his last post was yay its on its way I've got the tracking number
Was meant to stay with same one in las vegas over new years too and bring ecus'
The most obvious dodge thing was how impressed with himself he was for doing a 5 stud conversion on his pulsar - heaps of pics of that none of the VQ35DE powered gtr
