you wont find a manual check car sales one manual with 250000 best chance to do that would be find a manual sumhow and buy a new infiniti engine from ebay whitch would be very costly and stupid

Re: wonting to buy a manaul 95/96 maxima under 220000km in a
Should be able to get a manual with less than 250,000kms I reckon, in NZ most manuals seem to be from 160-250kms (160 ones being the rariest)
If you got a high mileage one cheap enough you could do what whitewolf did and use it as a donor, or import gearbox from US or get a VQ20 box from NZ and redrill flywheel like Sinturion did. So theres a few options
Cattman was offering a good deal on Y Pipes - have a looked in the 4th Gen forum, Other option is to get a custom one made

Got an auto 1995 A32 Maxima with 246,000kms in Australia Sell for $52,000 or trade for brand new J32 Maxima LOL! Oh, to sweeten the deal, the auto trans is slipping, so you'll need a manual box anyway! Seriously though; I think your best bet is to buy an auto A32 Maxima, and then source the manual conversion parts from NZ...

Re: wonting to buy a manaul 95/96 maxima under 220000km in a
rebuilding a motor and box is a metric fuckton of work if you only have a "superworks spanner kit, superworks phillips and flat screwdriver, and a carton of beer"
seriously its a lot of work and out of bounds for your average person, even i think i would struggle to rebuild a motor and i know my way around a car...

Re: wonting to buy a manaul 95/96 maxima under 220000km in a
Its a serious amount of work for even experienced mechanics. Pull motor and box, give to engine rebuilder, pick it up when it's done, drop it back in. building any motor requires skills specifically in that area, building a quad cam V6 is an even bigger headache....my point was, a completely rebuilt motor and box is alot easier than "sourcing parts" - from where? oversea's...then you have to buy bits and pieces from a million different sellers, and ship it, and even then, it's still 'used', what's to say it isnt about to go BANG 3 days after you chuck it in the car, $1500 in freight later ?
Rebuilding a DOHC V6 would be around 5-6k, box would be maybe 1-3 (stab in the dark), then you have manual VQx0DE with 000'000kms on it, peace of mind ?

Motor building/rebuilding is a 4 year trade here in Australia. Again, we're talking about a quad cam V6 with VCT on both sides, that will never be a walk in the park for any engine rebuilder. Sure 9k is worth more than the car, but that 9k will pay you back and the car will have atleast some value when you sell it. You don't get to add freight costs onto the car's value when you sell it, and mismatched KMs drop the value even more. What would you buy? A32 Maxima, 220000 on dash Motor has 160'000 US miles Box has 130'000 US miles $7000 or A32 Maxima 220000 on dash 5000kms on motor and box $12000

So people who spend $100'000 restoring 1960's sports cars, are just financial idiots ?

Re: wonting to buy a manaul 95/96 maxima under 220000km in a
i think there is a *slight* difference in a classic 1960's car, which is worth a fortune even in an unrestored condition compared to a generic run of the mill 90's maxima... thats obvious i thought...

yeah i know... its going back into the shop to get some more engine work done... in the meantime i'll just use my daily thrasher to get around... yeah, i know its a bomb... i spent about $50 restoring it, and its probably only worth about $19.50... but it gets me around...

yeah... i know, fail...
was thinking of doing an engine swap with an i30 diesel. more power than a 427 plus more economical = win.
